Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Program – Kickstarter update #8

Okay, so my next update will focus on something other than art, but Cesar Viveros, the muralist you see in our Kickstarter video, posted a photo today of one of the completed murals in the Frankford neighborhood, so his work and that of the Mural Arts Program is top of mind.  I tell everyone about what I saw on the walls all over Philadelphia.  How is it that the whole world doesn’t already know about it?

In addition to spending time with Cesar, we interviewed Jane Golden, who started the transformation of the city through art more than two decades ago – she’s been doing it!  The video includes bits of her interview, a recent dedication of a project along the Schuylkill River, along with a several of the murals throughout the city.   With over 3,000 to look at, I suggest you plan a trip!

We’re currently 15% to our goal of $25,000.  I did a quick interview this morning with the National Association of Realtor Green Resource Council.  It was related to this Kickstarter Campaign and I’m really excited to see what happens when that email newsletter hits.  The stories of the film are starting to have a national reach, which makes me soooo happy!

I hope to reach 100 pledges this week – you know what to do; share the campaign, facebook, email, tweet and my favorite way – face to face.
